Mark Sampath is one of the co-founders of the firm and has been serving local business clients in a wide variety of industries for nearly a decade. His practice began in Clark County and has since expanded to the surrounding areas of Washington and Oregon. Mark has contributed to several community organizations and board associations, and is the acting President and past Treasurer of the Clark County Bar Association as well as a Board Member for the Building Industry Association of Clark County (BIA).
Drawing on his legal experience and considerable business background, Mark is dedicated to helping clients develop effective business strategies while protecting their interests. Mark’s practice emphasizes corporate business transactions, commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, private equity financing, entity formation, business succession planning, and intellectual property.
Mark graduated from the College of William and Mary with a degree in biology, from American University with an MBA in finance, and received his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School. Prior to practicing law, he spent ten years in the investment management arena, first in Atlanta, Georgia, and then in Stamford, Connecticut, just outside of New York City. During those ten years, he spent the majority of his time evaluating publicly and privately traded companies with market capitalizations ranging from $100 million to $5 billion in order to take long-term investment positions. As part of that process, Mark frequently met with management executives learning how those businesses operate, evaluating financial models, evaluating competing companies and technologies, and determining what factors are critical to their success.
When finding time to relax, Mark enjoys spending time with his two kids, working out, hiking, and exploring wine country. He also likes spending time reading on his back porch with a good glass of wine.
