Charles Bowers

Charles R. Bowers is one of the co-founders of SBLG, PLLC. He has over 35 years of experience in business law and business litigation, including experience with a wide range of corporate, transactional, and intellectual property work.

Charles has received an AV® Preeminent rating through the Martindale-Hubbell® national peer review rating system – reflecting the highest rating available – from reviews by his peers on his legal ability and ethical standards. Charles has also received the Martindale-Hubbell® Client Distinction Award, reflecting the highest available rating by his clients for his excellence in: Quality of Service, Overall Value, Responsiveness and Communication Ability.

Charles is dedicated to providing high quality, cost-effective legal services to established and emerging businesses and professional clients in the areas of business formation and operations, corporate governance, intellectual property protection and licensing, technology law, and data security and privacy law. Charles particularly enjoys helping clients engaged in creative, innovative endeavors ranging from computer, mobile device, and internet-based enterprises, to the creative arts such as photography, video production and book publishing.

Mr. Bowers has been active in the Oregon State Bar Computer and Internet Law Section (now the Technology Law Section) for over 25 years and twice has been elected to be Chair of the Section. Mr. Bowers has published several articles and is a frequent lecturer regarding topics related to technology and internet law, data security and privacy issues. Mr. Bowers is the founder of IDfra LLC, an organization dedicated to the development of a new identity infrastructure that preserves personal privacy while promoting the exchange of verifiable data.
